Mainz, November 2025 – The Content Convention brought more than 1,000 visitors to the media city of Mainz for the seventh time on 26 November. Live show as a format for change

The Content Convention 2025 consistently focused on the live-show format, creating experiences in the live moment. Everything ran under the motto - Create. Collaborate. Change. - creating change.

In addition to keynotes, panels and masterclasses with more than 50 speakers, the program included twelve breakout booths as well as new formats such as the Innovation Walk and the RLP Playground.

„A well-built moment creates momentum. Momentum creates openness. Openness in turn is the basis for change", explains Christoph Köhler, Co-Founder and Managing Partner Inventions at Inventive Studios. „The Content Convention has been a positive conference from day one, looking ahead, emphasizing opportunities and possibilities and, above all, enabling people to bring about change themselves. I think that with aura and impact we once again succeeded this year in bringing more than 50 speakers to the media city of Mainz."

Broadcast-ready production meets experience design

Inventive Studios staged the Content Convention as an eight-hour live show that combined the full spectrum of modern show and content production. The seamless integration of Mainstage and space created new possibilities for both the live audience and the stream.

„The new show concept deliberately linked the experience in the hall with the experience in the stream. Mainstage and exhibition booths were therefore not only accessible to the people live on location - a new reporter format, The Innovation Walk, opened up the space for the people in the stream, who were finally able to get a taste of the hall atmosphere.", explains Benjamin Jurick, Co-Founder and Producing Partner at Inventive Studios. „From big-tech topics from Google to enabler impulses from media funding - our goal was to inspire. That was very entertaining for both the audience and the stream."

For the first time, Inventive Studios designed an experience room itself and demonstrated the possibilities of AI video live.

„From synthetic humans to digital avatars to AI product training, everything was included", says Gersi Gega, Managing Director of Inventive Studios. „Our AI service 'Inventive Dialog – in conversation with history', which enables a real-time dialogue with historical figures, was another highlight for numerous visitors."

Media literacy as the basis for a content society

The Content Convention positions itself as a platform that connects and imparts media literacy – a foundation for actively shaping the industry's transformation.

„Media are created through knowledge - knowledge changes. You could almost say that we are in the midst of a transformation from a knowledge society to a content society", emphasizes Jurick. „Media literacy is perhaps a clunky term, but it is crucial at its core."

State Secretary for Media Heike Raab from the State Chancellery of Rhineland-Palatinate sums up: „It was a great media congress with great content and great people."

Make Mainz visible as a media location

The Content Convention helps position Mainz as an important media location. With arte, 3sat, funk and more than 30,000 people working in media in the region, the city is an important hub of the German media landscape.

„It is always exciting to observe how guests perceive Mainz", says Gega. „Many know that Mainz is a major media city, but not that broadcasters such as arte, 3sat and funk, numerous radio stations and other production companies are also based here and that more than 30,000 people work in the media industry. That makes it all the more important to create visibility for this and to contribute ourselves."
